- Credits do not expire; they will remain in your account until used.
- Do you charge for incoming text messages?
- No. We do not charge you for incoming text messages.
- Is there a limit on the number of messages I can send?
- No; ROICT is a bulk marketing company and our systems have been developed for 'Bulk Messaging'. You can send an unlimited number of texts providing you have enough credits. Note: there may be a small delay (minutes) for sending to large batches of numbers (such as thousands) but this is kept to a minimum. There is no minimum send so it is also possible to send individual messages. Note: this is not a spamming tool and accounts reported and proven to be spamming will be frozen/closed.
- What happens to replies?
- Replies to messages are collected and can be collected through various means, these can even trigger further actions.
- How long is a text message?

- What is a character?
- A character is a letter, number or symbol.
- How long does it take to deliver a text message?
- On average messages are delivered to the phones within seconds, however occasionally their could be an extended delay of minutes due to traffic or technical difficulties on the phone and /or the network. If the latter is the case the message center will attempt to re-deliver the message for up to 3 days.
- The recipient did not receive my message, why?
- The most common cause is human error when entering a number. ROICT will provide details of any invalid numbers used to allow you to cleanse your data. Occasionally the message can get lost in the system for different reasons such as the message expired before it was received for example if the phone is left off whilst on a long holiday.
- What is a Keyword?
- Keywords are a means of identification and relate to a specific user or campaign. For example text 'HELP' to 08454, here the keyword is 'HELP' and allows our system to identify the action to take on receipt of an incoming message. Keywords can be requested at any time.
- Can a keyword be any word?
- Yes, as long as it is not offensive and is not already taken for your shortcode, if the latter is the case we may be able to provide a new shortcode which does not have this keyword taken.
- What is a Short Code?
- Short codes are a short contact number, which accept incoming text messages.
The aim is to provide a short/easy to memorise number. For example send 'HELP' to 08454, here the number is the short code to be used as the 'number to call'. Note: these numbers do not accept incoming voice calls.
